A modern love story with a twist. Persevering through periods of long distance allowed their romance to blossom into a once in a lifetime love. Their journey began in the heart of New York City. Randi planned the most memorable first date—a romantic dinner on the Hudson, walk through Central Park, ice skating in Bryant Park and holding hands through a haunted house to end the evening. It was seemingly too good to be true; that is, until they returned to the lot only to find Olivia’s car had been towed after parking in a restricted spot in one of the city’s highest tow-away zones. Randi found this quite endearing; all the while Olivia had thought this surely ruined her first impression. The two continued planning dates and enjoying time together at all of what became their favorite spots across New York City.
It was on vacation almost 2 years later where Randi proposed against the turquoise blue waters of Turks and Caicos and their journey as fiancés began.
Olivia and Randi's career pursuits and ambitions brought them to different states, but their unwavering love and support for one another made the distance conquerable. Through this, they have learned the value of intentional, quality time, strong communication and prioritizing the little things that they feel matter most. Falling asleep together on the phone after busy days at work and sending each other surprise flowers and treats “just because” have been some of the things they enjoy doing for one another. Watching the women’s NCAA + WNBA basketball games together has been something they both look forward to, even though it’s well known who will win in a game of 1 on 1. Both Randi and Olivia are excited for their next phase in life as they eagerly await their March 2025 wedding in Fort Myers, Florida where they look forward to growing together as husband and wife.
